In a career spanning 4 decades, Eddie has performed at most of the significant venues in the UK and internationally. Festival highlights include Brecon, Bracknell, and BBC Proms; Bangkok and Berlin (before and after the wall came down); Paris, France and Houston, Texas. He has played Molde, Montreal and Montreux; also Johannesberg; also Grahamstown, SA. He has made many recordings, radio and TV appearances and his dulcet tones are to be found on various film and TV soundtracks.
Eddie continues to perform with his own groups “Eddie Parker’s Mister Vertigo” and the Eddie Parker Quartet with forthcoming performances by both of these groups.
In what was described as “one of the most eagerly awaited performances of 2014” (John Fordham, Guardian) Eddie performed with Loose Tubes in their reunion gigs at Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scotts Club and Brecon Festival, continuing with Sage Gateshead, Herts Jazz Festival and another sell out residency at Ronnie Scotts.
He is also performing as a keyboard player with the Will Gregory Moog Ensemble, with a historic live BBC radio performance at Camden Roundhouse in March 2013, and performances in Bristol and London. In 2012 Eddie performed alongside Will (of Goldfrapp fame) and Adrian Utley of Portishead with the Charles Hazlewood All Stars in recreations of Terry Riley’s “A Rainbow In Curved Air” and Mike Oldfield’s “Tubular Bells”.
